Thanksgiving

Not just for the pumpkin pie
It’s family coming from far away
The love will be in huge supply

Never want to say good-bye
The fun will last all through the day
Not just for the pumpkin pie

Crisp air under a bright blue sky
Children smile and laugh and play
The love will be in huge supply

Members grab the hands nearby
And all give thanks in some way
Not just for the pumpkin pie

Stories perched on grandpa’s thigh
His eyes get all misty and grey
The love will be in huge supply

Though the time may zip on by
Despite the stars out they stay
Not just for the pumpkin pie
The love will be in huge supply

Note

The tallest tree in the forest was cut
down to make a piece of paper.

This paper was packaged
and sent to a store.

This store happened
to be the only one near him.

He bought the package
along with a pen.

The pen - "click" - was put
to the piece of paper.

The paper, covered in
ink, told a story.

The story was one of
love and promises.

But these promises were turned
into many disappointments.

The disappointments
caused salty-drops to fall.

The tears smeared
the words of ink.

The ink ran down
and around the paper.

That paper came from the
tallest tree in the forest.

And the tallest tree in the forest was cut
down just to make a piece of paper...

she dreaded the doleful days to come

he, bairn of Sorrow
in triumph o'er thee
his boast achieved

himself unpeered as
she fled to the moor
amid unknown icy fetters

he spake to thee
"list and obey!"
and bewept the woman

and now she, gloomy and grim; her flower was gone

untrod is their love
seek if thou dare!
'tis no happy place

she, hopelessly bewitched
believed: a good king he!
the woman was clansmen good.

reckless of life
he was blithe of his deed
her great wailing assended

and amid her heart went the keen war-shaft.

Poverty

1 million spent here, 1 million dropped there.

No big deal, right?

The regular world revolves while
walstreet spins and accumulates.
The rich get richer.
The poor starve.

Never enough.
vs.
Too much.

Scavengeing for the next meal
or searching for the next mansion.
Both feel equally important.
One could save a life.

The man in the street
stares in disbelief.

The limo driving by him never slows
as it nicks the edge of his shopping cart,
sending him spinning to the ground.
The politician in the backseat
tells his driver keep going.
"He's not a taxpayer, anyway"

1 million spent here, 1 million dropped there.
No big deal, right?

Ode to the hair-tamer.

As i awake and roll out of bed
I look up and see the monster on my head.
My half-sleep eyes fly open and shut
i feel like staying all day in my dwelling-hut.
Thank God I have my blesseed hair-tamer.
The magic heat coming out it a real life saver.
I continue my day and head to the learning-jail
if not for my hair-tamer, my day would be completely derailed!
