"The truth is every man dies, but not every man lives." ~ Jason Aldean
What is life if it is not live
The purpose is to be,
be motivated by a drive
and it is not, not to be
Reaching out, rule breaking
taking names and pushing limits
You sit back picture taking
and life slips minute after minute
Ready, set, go... Go! GO!
Do something, Live somehow
Don't be another John Doe
It fades if thats what you allow
Of course every man dies sometime, this is true.
But if its life being craved, the choice is up to you.
What an inspiring poem! I like the repetitive words in the first stanza, it gives it kind of a song-like feel.
ReplyDeleteAND it is a sonnet...awesome!
You may need some punctuation in the second stanza because I found it kind of confusing. Does the speaker think rule breaking, etc is a good thing or a bad thing? It kind of flowed together so that was a bit confusing.
Good job!
this is really good i like the form, it does sound like a song kind of but i like it alot : )
